Philosophy

45ºN 68ºW line of natural products is developed out of our passion of the outdoors and environmental conservation. We aim to enable enthusiasts to enjoy the outdoors safely and without the use of any harmful chemicals. From our brand “45ºN 68ºW™” to each product we develop and sell, shows our love for the outdoors.

Our brand 45ºN 68ºWTM signifies the coordinates of the Northern Terminus of the Appalachian Trail (45°54′15.68″N 68°55′16.59″W / 45.9043556°N 68.921275°W) located on Mount Katahdin in Baxter State Park, Maine. Katahdin named so by the Penobscot Indians literally means “The Greatest Mountain”.  It has inspired hikes, climbs, painting, and a piano sonata.

The Appalachian Trail is continuous marked footpath, at a distance of 2,175 miles among the longest hiking trails in the US.

There are few areas of this country that have the same kind of historical significance as the Hudson Valley. This was one of the first areas that were colonized during the exploration of the new world. This was also a very important area in this nation's struggle for freedom in its formative years. Over the years this is an area that has seen the best of society and some difficult times as well. The Hudson Valley is a pristine and beautiful area with rolling hills and the scenic Hudson River that at one time earned the nickname of "America's Rhine." On October 7, 1923, the first section of the Appalachian Trail, from Bear Mountain west through Harriman State Park to Arden, New York was opened.

Our brand “45ºN 68ºW™” is a tribute to Katahdin, the Appalachian Trail and the Hudson Valley Region.
